Week 44: We Back In Bogota!

Hola Familia y amigos!

This week was super sweet. Contacted a ton and we found some great
investigadores, they're ORO(gold). We were going to visit old investigators but they weren't home so my comp and I just decided to contact their neighbor while we were there.  That’s how we met Lina Pinto, we taught her the first leccion, she seemed interested and told us to come back later in the week. We went back talked to her aboutthe importance of prayer, reading the scriptures, going to church, and baptism. She accepted a baptismal date and then told us she was going to go to church. We show up to her house Sunday morning  and she was not there so we just thought that she went to another church or was not interested. We got to church and she's was already there with her husband Jorge. Until that moment we didn't even know she had a husband! After church we talked to both of them and set up a time to pass by later that day to teach them both. We get there and we talk to the husband and he straight up tells us he wants to get baptized, he lives in Leticia with his wife but he works all week at a farm in Brazil so he had no idea we had been teahing his wife. He told us that earlier that week he had been praying asking god which is the true church and that when he came back from work that week and his wife told him about us he said it was an answer to his prayer.  When he went to church he said he knows that this is the true church that he was praying for.   We  taught him the rest of leccion 1 and he told us that they're going to get married and baptized.

That was one of the most powerful experiences of my life, to know that the lord put us there that day to talk to his wife and because of that her husband received  the answer to his prayer. The lord really puts us in the right place at the right time and I know that he guides this work. We always need to be aware of that and need to be the best people we can and try our best to follow the spirit so we can be instruments in the Lord's hands to help find his lost sheep that are trying to find their way home. I love this gospel and I'm so greatful for the opportunity that I have to be a missionary and share this gospel with others.

Right  now I'm back in Bogota for a leaders council. My companion and I just  arrived from Leticia a couple minutes ago. We ate at Burger King and that was super awesome I hadn't had Burger King in over 10 months!   It is crazy to think that I've already been in the mission for 10 months and time is just flying. I love and miss you all, I hope you all have a great week! Christ lives, he loves you, and if you do the things that you need to do he will use you to bless the lives of others!
