Week 41: The assistants came down and Tierra’s Amazonicas!

Hola familia y amigos!

This week was really good. Tuesday we ate lunch with our recent converts familia Diaz, they're awesome and that was great! We also had a cool experience at the end of the night when all our lecciones fell through and it was 8:15 and we just decided we were going to go contact(which in Leticia after 7 is almost impossible) and we
found an awesome family so that was amazing.

Then Thursday-Saturday the assistants came down here to Leticia. I had a intercambio with Elder Jones, he's a really cool guy and a great missionary, we had a really good day. On Friday I bought the assistants Mojojoi (gross amazon worm) and one fell in the street.  We realized it later and we walked back and saw the dead worm on the street, it was sad, Elder Caqui and I held a quick little funeral for it. Then Sunday was crazy, it was raining really hard right before church and we got to church with some investigators and there was  not many people there. The branch here is really small and we're trying to work on strengthening the branch.  Of the 32 people at church 18 were either Investigators, missionaries, or recent converts. But it was all good because Luiz Alfredo was there at church and he loved it! He's almost in Jacob and after church ended he was basically begging for us to come back to his house. I love him so much, his love for the gospel and his testimony in just this short time is absolutely amazing to me.

Then we had Almuerzo after church with Hna Mercedez because no one else would give us lunch. Then today was awesome because  Hna Mercedez has fed us so many times we decided that today we were going to take her and her husband Alex to eat at the nicest restaurant in Leticia, Tierras Amazonicas. Wow it was one of the best lunches I've ever had and it was awesome to get to go there with them and the other missionaries. That's about it for this week. I love you guys I hope you're all doing good. I hope you all know that Christ lives and that he loves you. I'm so greatful for this gospel and the opportunity that I have to share it here in Colombia!!

Nos Vemos!!
