This week was insane, that is the only word I can use. It started of
with me being sick, like really sick, We are pretty sure I had food
poisoning, it wasn't too fun of a time not going to lie, so we spent
all Tuesday and Wednesday in the house because well lets just say this
week we were in a trio: My companion, the bathroom, and me. Then I
started to get a little better, which was good because Thursday we
were going to have to go to Bogota.
We had the opportunity to go to a capacitacion and listen
to Elder Walter Gonzalez, so lets talk about this part. Thursday we
get up at4:45am to go to Bogota, we get to the Villavicencio bus
terminal at 6:30am to meet with the zone and get ready to go to Bogota, but the road is closed, because a bridge collapsed, so we couldn't get to Bogota. We get told to go home, so we go home, I'm still feeling awful. At 2:00 pm we get a call, we need to get to the terminal again by 3 so we can travel to Giradot to hear Elder Gonzalez speak on Friday. So my Comp gives me a blessing of health and we leave for the Terminal. We get there and we leave Villaviencio at 4 pm on a bus to Bogota, the thing was the way was still closed so we had to take the old route to
Bogota. First bus ride was 11 hours, second bus ride 3 hours, third bus from Melgar to Giradot was only like 30 minutes. So our trip took 3 buses, 14 1/2 hours to get into Giradot by 7:30am on Friday.

We have to find the missionaries that live there, we go to their house to
shower, we ate breakfast and then we had to get to the capacitacion at 10:30am
so we ended up going straight there for that. The capacitacion was
awesome with Elder Walter Gonzalez, he was super spiritual and super
funny. He talked about the importance of helping people make their
own solution to problems instead of just making the solutions for
them. It was an honor to get to shake his hand and listen to a seventy
speak. That capacitacion got over at 5:00 pm so after that we went to
go eat dinner with all the missionaries there.

Then after dinner we got on a bus from Giradot back to Bogota, we left at 7:00 and got to Bogota at 10:00pm. Then we were told that we were staying the night in Bogota. We took a taxi to go to some missionaries house in Tunjelito, we got to their apartment at 11:00pm Friday night. The missionaries we were staying with are our friends so we talked a little and then we went to bed around 1:00 am Saturday morning. I went from 4:45 am Thursday morning to 1:00 pm Saturday morning without sleeping. It was roughly 44 hours without sleep. Then we got up at 5:00 am so that we can catch a bus to Villavicencio, so we get to the terminal and we leave Bogota at 6:30 am and get to Villavicencio at 10:30 for another 4 hour bus ride for a total of 22 hours on a bus! We were dead, I had never been so tired in my entire life.
Then stuff calmed down, Sunday we had church, met some future investigators there and we had an awesome leccion with Sergio. He's going to get baptized on the 17th of Febrero, he is so ready for this gospel and he just loves the church and wants to follow God. Then we were coming home and our neighbor was watching the Super Bowl in his store! He talked to us and asked us question about football and it was pretty funny talking about football in Spanish haha! ¡Van Aguilas!
Then today was fun, cleaned the house, cut our hair, ate Subway, bought apple juice, and saw a van on fire in the street with a bunch of people trying to put it out!

Yeah that was my week, for sure a little different than normal
weeks, hope this next week is a little calmer! haha. Miss you all and
hope you're all doing good!
