Week 27:Colombian Weeks Are Faster Than Normal Weeks
Hola familia y amigos!
Hey guys! This was a really good week, went by super fast. This Tuesday was pretty good, had two good lecciones and some district meetings. Then Wednesday we had a real good leccion with Sergio, we got him to accept a baptism date on the 17th of febrero(february). Next we had a really bad church activity that was planned way to fast and no one showed up, we're going to work on getting better activities going. Thursday we had an awesome Family home evening with Fam Rincon and some of our investigators Luz, Dary, Henry and their son Kevin. It was really good we talked about eternal families and then we played a game of spoons with 10 people, Colombians don't know how to play spoons it was really funny. Then Friday nothing much happened to write about. Saturday we had another good leccion con Sergio, he had some questions about the BOM like why we need more than one testament of Christ. Then he opened the BOM to 3 nefi 16 and he read about Christ talking about his other sheep and then he said nope I don't have that question anymore it just got answered. That was a really powerful spiritual experience! Then Sunday was awesome, we had 6 investigators at church again! Also there was an American family at church! The Maxwell's are in Colombia to adopt some Colombian kids . They wanted to come to church, it was fun talking to them, they flew out of PDX airport and I told them to go say Hi to Oregon and my family when they go back! Then today was really fun, we went on this hike in the mountains and it was really hot and really steep and we had a lot of fun with the other missionaries! I miss you guys hope you're all doing well!

Week 26: Sunny week in Colombia
Hola familia y amigos
This was a pretty good week, went by fast. Tuesday it rained all day long, we got some work in but it was just pouring down rain and we were completely soaked before lunch. The rest of the week was sunny! Wednesday we found 3 new investigators teaching a part of a members family and that was really cool. Then Thursday President Baquerizo came down to Villo and we had a conference with him, and we taught. We were going to get lunch but we didn't because we were so busy so we ended up getting KFC at 5 pm. We were really hungry because we hadn't eaten anything since 6am. Then Friday we went up to Acacias again, that was really good! We had a leccion with some members up there, they had a PS4 and that was dope I hadn't seen a PS4 in like 6 months, then we taught 3 new Investigators who are the family of a members girlfriend. We are having success so we are going back up there this Wednesday. Then Saturday we biked a lot, like a lot all day but we had some good leccions and a NDH (family home evening). Sunday was awesome we got up really early for church and as we passed by investigators we had 6 people join us and they came to church with us! They all said that they really liked church and want to keep coming so that was awesome. Then today was good, cleaned the house and got some Colombian panda express which wasn't bad,and then we went bowling as a zone which was really fun! That's about it, oh my companion and I got hit by a bus this week on our bikes so that was fun!! We are both good though so don't worry. Hope you're all doing well, love and miss you guys!!

Week 25: Pictures
Week 25: Acacias,2 almuerzos(lunches), and a zoo!
Hola Familia y Amigos!
This week was a really good week, and went by pretty fast. Tuesday we went to this place called La Madrid, we don't go out there a lot but we had some lecciones with members and got to teach one of their family members which was cool. Then Wednesday we had an awesome leccion with Consuelo, she is totally ready to get baptized!!! She left to go visit her son for a month so we have to wait until she gets back to continue, so that was kind of rough. Thursday nothing really happened but we contacted a lot but didn't really have any success, and we helped a member take down a Christmas tree. Then Friday we went to this place called Acacias it is really really far away, we had to take the same bus that we take when we go to Bogotá . It was really cool though because they were playing Captain America Civil War!! When we arrived we had a leccion with a guy in Acacias who's son is a member living in the United States and it was awesome! We also taught his wife and his daughter too, so we are going back up there next Friday. Saturday was interesting we had lunch with some members which was awesome... and then we had lunch with some investigators and that was awesome too, but afterwards we were sooo full, it was hard to ride our bikes. On Sunday we have 8 am church which isn't really tough for us but it's tough to get investigators to come to church because it's so early. We passed by the houses of investigators but no one was awake so we thought we weren't going to have any investigators at church. When we arrived at church the investigators that gave us lunch on Saturday showed up and loved it!! The members were awesome talking to them and our investigator Mauricio said " yeah it's our first time but the plan is to keep on coming" it was great! They really felt the spirit there and I really think now their progression is going to sky rocket! It really was a testimony builder for me about the importance of going to church. Then today was a lot of fun, we got up and cleaned the house and then we went to a Zoo here in Villo. It was awesome they had turtles, parrots, monkeys, crocodiles, and jaguars! That was about it love and miss you guys!!

Week 24: Just a normal week in Colombia
Hola familia y amigos!
This week went by pretty fast, we had some good stuff happen but overall it was just a pretty normal week. Tuesday we had plans to go visit some referencias from some other Elder's but the people were not there so we wasted our day on the bus basically. Then Wednesday we had a good leccion with a new investigadora Marta, she's a nice lady, she had gone to one of the church activities and wanted to visit with us, we have more with her this upcoming week. Thursday we found 4 new investigators just contacting and they are the family of some members in our branch so that was really cool, they already had like 3 Book of Mormons in the house so they are prepared to read! haha. Then Friday was zone and district meetings and then we had to take an online survey, we contacted after that but didn't have a lot of success. Elder Gregersen got a christmas package from his family and they gave us some awesome stuff. Thanks Gregersen fam!! On Saturday we had an awesome leccion con Consuelo, she says she knows the church is true and she's not going to miss church for the rest of her life which was really cool, we have a baptism date set with her for the 27th of this month. We had another good leccion with some investigators, we read 1 nefi 1 with them and they seemed really interested and said they wanted to read, they invited us to lunch for the next leccion so that was sweet. Then we had a NDH con Zaida our recent convert and the familia Patiño. We watched the restoration and then afterwards we made them all PB & J's because they had never had them before. Sunday was good, Consuelo was at church like she promised and we had a really great leccion in principles of the gospel about Heavenly Father. Then afterwards we worked, found a new investigator and had a pretty bad leccion with some menos activos but that was it. Then today we cleaned the house, took naps, and bought some food so just a normal P day! I'm still here in Villo , the cambio just ended so I have 6 more weeks here with my comp! I really like this area and I'm glad I have the chance to be here serving! I love and miss you guys! Hope you're all doing well!

Week 23: Un bautismo, una lavadora, y un nuevo ano!!
Hola familia y amigos!!
This week was awesome! Tuesday we had a good leccion with Zaida preparing her for her baptism. On Wednesday I had an intercambio with Elder Nielsen, he made us mac and cheese for breakfast so that was awesome and then we had a really good leccion with a guy we found that day. Then Thursday we had lunch with Luz dary and Henry some investigators, they're traveling right now but when they get back I really think they'll continue to progress!! Then later we had Zaida's baptisimal interview which went great and then we left to go get a washing machine! We finally have a washing machine in the house! Then Friday was awesome, it was Zaida's baptism, the service was awesome and it was really cool getting to be there watching her make that sacred covenant. Then we took Zaida and Familia Patiño(They helped us teach Zaida every leccion) out to Papa Johns Pizza to celebrate her baptism! Then Saturday was a lot of biking but we had some good lecciones with investigators. Sunday was good, church was really good, I got to be in Zaida's confirmation, I got hit by a motorcycle, and had a really great lunch with Fam Rincon. Then we went out and said Happy New Years to all of our investigators and members. Here in Colombia New Years is bigger than Christmas. Then we went back to the house and made brownies in the microwave and went to bed. Monday was awesome, first day of 2018 we went with the whole zone to this tourist place here in Villo called Grenada(that's grenade in English)) We got to go in this river and skip stones and eat lunch with other missionaries and members it was really fun, then on the way back my comp and I stopped to get some food. It was an awesome start to 2018. I hope you all had a really fun, safe New Year! Love and miss you guys hope everything is going well!
